Dual Plate Check Valves

Dual Plate Check valve is a type of non-slam check valves used to protect the equipment near it in an event of a backflow

or a change in flow rate (water hammer).  This has two semicircular plate-shaped discs attached to a central hinge pin located

in the valve body.  The disc plates are acted upon by one or more torsion springs mounted on the hinge springs.  Dual Plate

Check valves have minimum weight and compact design for lighter pipe work system suitable for installation for vertical

pipelines.

Energy Efficient Heat Recovery Fresh Air Ventilation

VAM HRV units provide for cost effective energy efficient fresh air ventilation meeting legal and comfort requirements for offices, public spaces and other commercial applications. HRV units can be controlled individually or integral with the air conditioning system (Daikin VRV or Sky Air series).

When used in conjunction with an air conditioning system the HRV unit enables the cooling or heating load placed on the air conditioning system to be reduced significantly while maintaining the required fresh air ventilation rates.

Essentially, the Daikin VAM HRV system takes out dirty indoor air and pushes in fresh outdoor air to the rooms of your building exchanging heat and humidity between supply and exhaust air, which brings outdoor air close to indoor conditions and thus recovers energy loss.

  • The Daikin VAM system can be installed in a false ceiling or under the floor.
  • The heat exchange element uses a High Efficiency Paper that has superior moisture-absorption and humidifying properties.
  • The heat exchange between exhaust and supply air is arranged automatically. This results in a considerable energy loss reduction.
  • Because of the automatic heat exchange there is 28% less load on the air-conditioning system. This results in a lighter (thus cheaper) overall air conditioning installation.
  • The exchange in heat reduces the energy consumption of the air conditioning system. And in mid-season the ventilation system can work independently and thus replace the air-conditioning system.
    • The unit can work in two modes:
      1. Total heat exchange mode In total heat exchange mode the ventilator exchanges the heat between the exhaust air (from indoor) and the supply air (from outdoor) by means of a heat exchange element. This avoids cold draught when the outdoor air is colder than the indoor air.
      2. Bypass mode In bypass mode the ventilator will not exchange heat between exhaust and supply air by means of bypassing the heat exchange element. The outdoor air is brought directly into the room.
  • The centralised remote control allows the user to choose a wide range of control systems that integrate air conditioning and ventilation.

FRESH-UP operation

Both the excessive supply mode and the excessive exhaust mode are selectable. This function allows the VAM to create a more comfortable air environment whether the occupied space is required to be pressurised or de-pressurised.
